Sometimes I manage to surprise myself, and it’s fantastic. It’s that lightbulb moment. The calm in the storm. And today was one of those days.

At the start of the year I decided to study criminology on top of political science and journalism. I hardly knew what it was, but was looking for a change. This change included compulsory statistics classes. This was the opposite of a lightbulb moment. It was the storm. I’ve often struggled with mathematics. I’m not bad it, it just seems to take me a little longer to grasp the concepts. This proved a great problem in high school, where a different concept was covered each lessons. Maths in university, however, covers new concepts in weekly lectures. And this break seemed to work wonders.

I have just received my marks back for two statistics assessments. I got over 92% in each. Statistically speaking, that’s a very good mark. So shove it where it hurts, stat.

I did good. For once, I did good.
